BASEMENT EXCAVATION

We offer two methods for excavating your basement.

We can create an access ramp and an opening in one of the foundation walls to allow our mini excavator to dig and remove the soil.

If space is limited, we install conveyors to remove soil without heavy machinery. This solution is also advantageous when it is desired to keep the existing stone foundation intact

FOUNDATION UNDERPINNING

During the excavation we extend the depth of the existing foundations in sequence from 3 to 4 feet in width.

We use a fast setting and hi strength concrete which allows us to complete successively these sequences quickly for greater efficiency on site and a lower cost. As a bonus, the strength of the new foundations is nearly 2x greater than the industry standard..

FOUNDATION UNDERPINNING OF NEIGHBOURING BUILDINGS ON ADJACENT LOT

We are the reference for carrying out work in the underpinnings of neighboring buildings before excavating your land for the realization of your project.

We have developed unique methods that allow us to perform this type of work at a much lower cost and faster than any other underpinning contractor in the region. In addition, our methods are much more economical than installing steel plate shoring walls, steel and wood berlin shoring walls. We can achieve our underpinning technique to excavation depths of approximately 12 feet.

PYRITE

The presence of pyrite in building materials can cause serious problems in foundations, concrete structures or in the fill below the slab where it can cause cracking, swelling and other significant damage.

The sustainable solution is to break up and remove the existing damaged concrete slab, excavate and extract all the backfill containing pyrite, backfill with “DB” certified stone and finally pour a concrete slab.

Miniature excavation equipment is used by our team of experts to maximize the efficiency of operations.
